Volleyball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Takes a Loss

Gordon-Rushville lost against Cozad back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Haymakers.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17.

Gordon-Rushville's offense was headlined by Reese Simonson and Stormy Tesch, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Mikaylee Campbell and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Gordon-Rushville has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Cozad, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-11.

Gordon-Rushville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hyannis on the 11th. As for Cozad, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Valentine on the 11th.
