Volleyball Recap: Nokomis Warriors vs. Edward Little Red Eddies        
        
		
             On Thursday, the Nokomis Warriors didn't have quite enough to beat the Edward Little Red Eddies and fell  3-2.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Nokomis sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-19, 20-25,  15-13.
 Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jayden Hood, who  had 25  digs and seven  aces. Hood is  crushing it when it comes to  aces: she's   served at least four every time she's  taken the court this season.
 Even though they lost, Nokomis  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 19  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least eight  aces in five consecutive  matchups.
 Nokomis dropped their record down to 2-3 with that  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Edward Little, their win  ended  an  eight-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-2.
 Nokomis will take on Maranacook at 11:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Edward Little, they will venture away from home to  challenge Brunswick  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
