Baseball Recap: Pennington Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Pennington's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brindlee Mountain Lions a 12-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-3 back in February.

Pennington got a big performance out of Caleb Parsons, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Parsons a new career-high. Kaden Cantrell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Pennington's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-13. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Brindlee Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Pennington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brindlee Mountain, they will face off against Crossville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brindlee Mountain is facing Crossville at the right time seeing as Crossville is stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
