Volleyball Game Preview: Lafayette Generals vs. Nelson County Cardinals

The Lafayette Generals will square off against the Nelson County Cardinals at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lafayette will be strutting in after a victory while Nelson County will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Lafayette was able to grind out a solid win over Boyd County, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Generals.

Lafayette never let Boyd County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Nelson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lexington Christian.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Nelson County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.
