Recap: North Canyon Rattlers vs. Ironwood Eagles
After flying high against the Independence Patriots on Wednesday, the North Canyon Rattlers came back down to earth. North Canyon was dealt a 80-44 loss at the hands of Ironwood on Thursday. North Canyon lost against Ironwood in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 78-57 score last time.
Blake Carabio had an outrageously good game for Ironwood as he scored 29 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Carabio has scored at least 25% of Ironwood's points. Another player making a difference was I'yar Shadowvine, who scored 8 points along with 11 assists.
North Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Ironwood, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
North Canyon and McClintock will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. McClintock knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully North Canyon likes a good challenge. As for Ironwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
