It's playoff time, and Saratoga Springs had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Colonie Central Wolfpack on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Streaks sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Brendan Kantscheidt tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Saratoga Springs' victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Landau, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Saratoga Springs' win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Colonie Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.

Saratoga Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolfpack: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
