It was another big night for Xzavion Collins, who went 9-for-15 en route to 24 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Roniel Tibe was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Indianapolis Metropolitan). They claimed a resounding 93-14 win over Central Christian Academy. Given the Pumas' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Chargers are ranked 447th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Indianapolis Metropolitan's win came from a few key players Indiana Math & Science Academy North will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaedyn Robinson, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kwame Hawkins, who went 8-for-9 to rack up 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Indianapolis Metropolitan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.
