It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cheraw had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hampton County Hurricanes with a sharp 18-3 win. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Strong, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Terrence Blackmon, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Cheraw was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Cheraw pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Hampton County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
