Volleyball Recap: Arcata Takes a Loss

After flying high against McKinleyville on Tuesday, Arcata came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Healdsburg Greyhounds by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kyla Kinyon paced Arcata's offense, picking up eight kills. Kinyon got some help from Harper Appy and her 27 assists. Finally, Kinyon was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Arcata's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Healdsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Arcata wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Vincent de Paul on the 4th. As for Healdsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against San Rafael on the 4th.
