After flying high against McKinleyville on Tuesday, Arcata came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Healdsburg Greyhounds by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kyla Kinyon paced Arcata's offense, picking up eight kills. Kinyon got some help from Harper Appy and her 27 assists. Finally, Kinyon was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Arcata's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Healdsburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Arcata didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against St. Vincent de Paul on the 4th. As for Healdsburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against San Rafael on the 4th.
