Recap: Constantine Falcons vs. Mendon Hornets
The Constantine Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Mendon 54-40. That looming 54-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Constantine yet this season.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Gorham, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Brayden Crites, who scored eight points.
Even though they lost, Mendon were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Constantine's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Mendon, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Constantine will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on White Pigeon at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. White Pigeon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Mendon will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Whiteford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
