Basketball Game Preview: Fife Trojans vs. Olympic Trojans

The Fife Trojans and the Olympic Trojans will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Fife turned things around against Orting on Thursday. They snuck past the Cardinals with a 56-51 victory.

While Olympic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 67-53 win over Klahowya on Saturday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Eagles are ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Olympic's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Fife, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Fife took their victory against Olympic when the teams last played back in January of 2019 by a conclusive 61-41. Will Fife repeat their success, or does Olympic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
