Recap: Howard Tigers vs. Gregory Gorillas
The Howard Tigers entered their tilt with the Gregory Gorillas with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Howard came out on top against Gregory by a score of 42-34 on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Gregory still got an impressive performance from Noah Bearshield, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Bearshield's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Klundt, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Howard's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Gregory, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Howard will finish 2023 at home by hosting James Valley Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. James Valley Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Howard is ranked 21st). As for Gregory, they will head out on the road to face off against Andes Central/Dakota Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Andes Central/Dakota Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
