Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Fenwick

Fenwick entered their tilt with IC Catholic Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Knights 12-1. That's two games straight that the Friars have won by exactly 11 runs.

Harrison Dragus tossed a big game, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, JJ Obaldo was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Morgan, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Fenwick always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got Fenwick back to even at 6-6-1. As for IC Catholic Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Fenwick will challenge Glenbrook North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will face off against St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
