Football Game Preview: Savannah Christian Raiders vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Blaise Thomas and Jonathan Granby are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Savannah Christian Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Fellowship Christian Paladins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Savannah Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 35-23 victory over Christian Heritage. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Lions are ranked 238th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Savannah Christian's defense and their three sacks. In that department, John Gross was the leader with two. Savannah Christian got some further help from Weston Hughes: he made seven total tackles and defended four passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Fellowship Christian had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Mustangs, posting a 56-27 win. The Paladins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.

Savannah Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Fellowship Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Savannah Christian took a serious blow against Fellowship Christian in their previous meeting back in September, falling 52-21. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
