Basketball Recap: Legacy Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Legacy Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Victory Christian Conquerors 75-49 on Friday. With the Warriors ahead 49-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Legacy Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Victory Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gospel Light Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Legacy Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Gospel Light Christian likes a good challenge. Victory Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Stephens at 7:00 p.m. on January 23, 2025.
