Baseball Game Preview: Wallkill Valley Rangers vs. Kittatinny Regional Cougars

The Wallkill Valley Rangers will take on the Kittatinny Regional Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wallkill Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Kittatinny Regional will be coming in after a loss.

Wallkill Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Hopatcong 11-0. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Kittatinny Regional challenged High Point on Wednesday. The Cougars lost 13-3 to the Wildcats.

Kittatinny Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wallkill Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Wallkill Valley couldn't quite finish off Kittatinny Regional when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
