Soccer Recap: Bland County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fort Chiswell last Monday, Bland County came back down to earth. The Bears lost 4-1 to the Auburn Eagles on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Auburn this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in March.

Bland County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Auburn, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bland County is set to face off against their familiar foe George Wythe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Auburn will challenge rival Fort Chiswell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
