McKeel Academy took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Santa Fe Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Hawks on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Cooper Hamilton looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Kolton Houston was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Wyatt Thomas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

McKeel Academy's record is now 15-6. As for Santa Fe Catholic, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-4.

McKeel Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-10 win against Mulberry on the 9th. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they will be taking part in a tournament against George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3, the Eagles 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
