Volleyball Recap: Wren Takes Down Travelers Rest in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Wren had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Travelers Rest Devildogs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Hurricanes as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Wren was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 24-26, 25-21, 25-19.

Leading Wren to victory were Libby Claire Yarborough and Emma Kate Garrison. Yarborough had eight digs and three assists, while Garrison had 22 digs, ten kills, and two aces. Garrison has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 17 times she's played.

Wren's win bumped their record up to 27-6-1. As for Travelers Rest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18-1 record this season.

Wren has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Greer on the 27th. Travelers Rest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
