Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Mandeville's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Mandeville won the last time they faced Loranger, and Alanna Benoit did her part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Mandeville Skippers' way against the Loranger Wolves on Friday as the Mandeville Skippers made off with a 58-35 victory thanks in part to Benoit, who posted 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Camryn Mahoney, who had ten points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Mandeville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Loranger, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Mandeville will head out to take on Hammond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mandeville is facing Hammond at the right time seeing as Hammond is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Loranger, they and Fontainebleau will meet in a canine-themed contest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
