Football Game Preview: Palm Beach Central Broncos vs. Park Vista Cobras

The Palm Beach Central Broncos will challenge the Park Vista Cobras at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Palm Beach Central 9.6, Park Vista 12) so any points scored will be well earned.

Last Wednesday, Palm Beach Central got the win against Dwyer by a conclusive 30-6. Considering the Broncos have won four contests by more than 19 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Palm Beach Central found their leader in sophomore KAYLEE WOOD, who threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown. WOOD didn't just play on offense: she also made four total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Another player making a difference was CIARA FRANCOIS, who rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Palm Beach Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Jordan Brown led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 32 points the game before, Park Vista was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Palm Beach Gardens, falling 27-7. The Cobras' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Park Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Palm Beach Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Palm Beach Central might still be hurting after the 26-6 defeat they got from Park Vista in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Can Palm Beach Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
