Fayetteville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Moore County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Wednesday. The Tigers were shut out 10-0 the last time they took on the Raiders, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Not much got past William Pettie, who gave up just four hits to keep Moore County off the board. Pettie has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fayetteville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Frame, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Fayetteville's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-2. As for Moore County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-8.
