Basketball Recap: Celina's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Celina lost against Melissa back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Celina Bobcats took a hard 71-56 fall against the Melissa Cardinals.

Celina's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Melissa, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Celina and Melissa could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Celina (ranked 345th) will meet Decatur (ranked 26th) at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Melissa will square off against Flower Mound at 11:30 a.m. on Monday down 180 places (190 vs. 10).
