The biggest upset of the week belonged to Highland, who took down 237th ranked Antelope Valley, 47-36. Donte Ross threw for 151 yards and one touchdown and ran for 190 yards in the win.
The Bulldogs moved up to 295 from 338 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Golden. Highland was able to make move up by besting the Antelopes 47-36.
Jason King put up the best numbers through the air as Littlerock fell to Palmdale. He finished with 10 completions for 113 yards and two touchdowns. King's favorite target this week was Daveion Hefflin, who caught four passes for 76 yards.
Osirius Burke was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 232 yards as Quartz Hill defeated Antelope Valley. Teammate Royce Dirden added to the ground attack by rushing for 47 yards.
Jordan was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs bested Eric MacIntyre's team. Jordan tallied four receptions for 89 yards. Jorge Bargas helped Highland's passing attack out by catching one ball for 50 yards.
Highland's Ross and Jordan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Golden in both passing and receiving yards. Ross has thrown for 1072 yards this season, while Jordan, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 33 catches for 563 yards. Burke from the Rebels leads the league in rushing with 1484 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Antelopes take on Quartz Hill. As it stands, Antelope Valley is in second, while Pat Degnan's team is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Eastside takes on the Falcons. The Lions have allowed 97 points this season, while Palmdale has given up 85. Eastside allowed 42 points last week as it lost to the Rebels.
Jeff Williams' team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Lobos, 76-16. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Falcons.
