It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Ketchikan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Petersburg Vikings 9-8. The Kings haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Ketchikan got a great performance from Cash Larson as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.
At the plate, Jesse Albecker was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Hayden Trudeau was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.
Ketchikan's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Petersburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
As of now, neither Ketchikan nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
