Basketball Recap: DeWitt Comes Up Short

DeWitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 68-50 to the Everett Vikings. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Vikings are ranked 412th).

DeWitt now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Everett, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

DeWitt is taking a road trip to face off against Haslett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Everett, they will face off against Grand Ledge at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
