Softball Recap: Kingman Wins Going Away Against Odyssey Institute

Kingman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Odyssey Institute on Monday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 21-3 margin over the Minotaur. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kingman got a massive performance out of Kaitlynn Martin, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Molly Tyson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Kingman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .800. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Kingman back to even at 13-13. As for Odyssey Institute, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingman will face off against Highland Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Honey Badgers at the right time seeing as the Honey Badgers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Odyssey Institute, they will take on Parker at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
