Basketball Recap: Old Plank Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Old Plank Christian Academy extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Jenna Jiannuzzi. The Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders walked away with a 48-36 win over the University Christian Christians on Tuesday thanks in part to Jiannuzzi, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 boards. Jiannuzzi is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Sofia Wilkins, who posted eight points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Old Plank Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for University Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Old Plank Christian Academy will host Trinity Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for University Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Impact Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
