Volleyball Recap: Diamond Ranch's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Diamond Ranch was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Chadwick on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Brentwood School Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-17 in the first set.

Diamond Ranch took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 19-25, 25-17, 15-9.

Diamond Ranch's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-15. As for Brentwood School, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-19 record this season.

Diamond Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brentwood School, they will head out to take on Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aviators will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
