Soccer Recap: Richmond High School for the Arts Takes a Loss

Richmond High School for the Arts was the 2-1 winner over Monacan when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Richmond High School for the Arts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Monacan are ranked 46th).

This is the second loss in a row for Richmond High School for the Arts and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1. As for Monacan, their record now sits at 7-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Richmond High School for the Arts will take on rival Cosby at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monacan is set to face off against their familiar foe Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
