Baseball Recap: Mansfield Timberview Has No Trouble Against Polytechnic

While Mansfield Timberview put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Polytechnic. The Wolves put the hurt on the Parrots with a sharp 13-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Ayden King looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jace Espinoza was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nick Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Mansfield Timberview now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Polytechnic, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Mansfield Timberview will be taking part in a tournament against Molina at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Polytechnic, they will challenge DeSoto at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
