Volleyball Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Desert Ridge Jaguars + Official Tickets

The Gilbert Tigers will head out to take on the Desert Ridge Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gilbert is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Gilbert is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since November 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Highland. The shutout was out of character for the Tigers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Desert Ridge faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Jaguars came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0.

While Desert Ridge was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-19.

Desert Ridge's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 17-8. As for Gilbert, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
