Baseball Recap: Claymont Comes Up Short

Claymont and Indian Creek squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Claymont had to settle for second. They came up short against the Redskins, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since April 24th.

Connor Hillyer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

Claymont's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Indian Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-6.

Claymont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Creek, they will square off against Carrollton at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
