Basketball Recap: Mount Paran Christian Comes Up Short

Mount Paran Christian fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Business Engineering Science Tech on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 75-66 to the Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles. Mount Paran Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Business Engineering Science Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Paran Christian lost, don't look at Cameron Hewling. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 10 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Hewling has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Andric Parent was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Business Engineering Science Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Mickell out in front who posted 22 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jacob Mickell, who went 6 of 13 en route to 18 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.

Mount Paran Christian now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Business Engineering Science Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Mount Paran Christian has already played their next contest, a 79-31 victory against Atlanta International on the 8th. Business Engineering Science Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
