Volleyball Game Preview: Hinsdale Central Red Devils vs. Glenbard West Hilltoppers

Hinsdale Central hasn't had much luck against Glenbard West recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m.

Hinsdale Central is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bolingbrook.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Glenbard West entered their tilt with Lincoln-Way East on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Griffins.

Glenbard West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-8, 25-20.

Glenbard West pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hinsdale Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Hinsdale Central came up short against Glenbard West in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
