Softball Recap: Phoenix Comes Up Short

Phoenix couldn't beat South Plaquemines on Wednesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Spartans came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 34-11. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Phoenix now has a losing record of 1-2. As for South Plaquemines, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phoenix will face off against West St. John at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Plaquemines, they will welcome St. Mary's Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
