Basketball Game Preview: Delmarva Christian Royals vs. Salisbury Dragons

Delmarva Christian and Salisbury are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Delmarva Christian Royals will be playing at home against the Salisbury Dragons at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Delmarva Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Arcadia just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 62-49 to the Firebirds.

Despite the loss, Delmarva Christian had strong showings from Darius Liles, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, and Malachi Light, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Those eight rebounds gave Liles a new career-high. Another player making a difference was D J Liles, who scored nine points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Salisbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Worcester Prep.

Delmarva Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for Salisbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything came up roses for Delmarva Christian against Salisbury in their previous matchup on Thursday, as the team secured a 71-35 win. In that game, Delmarva Christian amassed a halftime lead of 38-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
