Softball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Franklin County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 11-2 to the Farragut Admirals. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Admirals when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Farragut, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-1 record this season.

Franklin County will head out to square off against Girls Prep at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Franklin County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Girls Prep has averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Farragut, they will take on Bradley Central in a tournament on Saturday. Bradley Central has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.23 runs per game on average), something Farragut will no doubt try to take advantage of.
