Dos Palos's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Firebaugh Eagles. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Eagles are ranked 1046th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gerardo Andrade and Arturo Mendoza scored both of Dos Palos' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 39 goals.

Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests.
