Softball Recap: John Ehret Comes Up Short

If John Ehret was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Frederick A. Douglass last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The John Ehret Patriots came up short against the Riverdale Rebels on Thursday, falling 15-9. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

John Ehret's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Riverdale, they moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

John Ehret didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-9 defeat against Thomas Jefferson on the 14th. As for Riverdale, they will challenge East Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
