Volleyball Game Preview: Wheat Ridge Farmers vs. Pomona Panthers

The Wheat Ridge Farmers will head out on the road to challenge the Pomona Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Wheat Ridge and three for Pomona.

Wheat Ridge came up short against Littleton on Friday, falling 3-0.

While Wheat Ridge was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pomona duked it out with D'Evelyn on Thursday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Jaguars.

Pomona took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 27-25.

Wheat Ridge will have to contain Aleyah Pruitt as she made an impact in Pomona's last game. She hit 87.5% for seven kills and 12 digs and four aces.

Wheat Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Pomona, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Wheat Ridge came up short against Pomona in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 3-1. Can the Farmers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
