Soccer Recap: Hammond Takes a Loss

Hammond managed to keep up with Cardinal Newman until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Skyhawks came up short against the Cardinals, falling 5-1. Hammond haven't had much luck with Cardinal Newman recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Hammond's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cardinal Newman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hammond will take on St. Joseph's Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cardinal Newman, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Ben Lippen at 7:00 p.m.
