Weldon scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 77-70 to the Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Chargers still had to take the loss.

Rocky Mount Prep was led to victory by Kobe Davis and Saveion Wall. Davis almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards, while Wall posted 17 points and four steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylan Barfield, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

Weldon's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Rocky Mount Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Weldon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-50 defeat against Northampton County on the 31st. As for Rocky Mount Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-60 loss against North Edgecombe on the 31st.
