Preview: Keystone Wildcats vs. Columbia Raiders
The Keystone Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Columbia Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Keystone blew Clearview out of the water the last time the pair played, but on TuesdayClearview got their revenge. Keystone fell just short of Clearview by a score of 62-60. Keystone's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Keystone's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Grant Hartley, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and six rebounds, and Liam Goran who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. It was the first time this season that Goran pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tucker Webb, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Columbia scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 72-46 margin over Brookside. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Columbia with their most commanding win of the season.
Keystone now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Columbia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Keystone came up short against Columbia in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-49. Can Keystone avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
