Soccer Recap: Athens/PORTA's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Lutheran/Calvary last Thursday, Athens/PORTA came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Litchfield Purple Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Athens/PORTA were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Litchfield apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Athens/PORTA fell to 4-1. As for Litchfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Athens/PORTA has already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Gillespie on the 31st. As for Litchfield, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Gibault Catholic on the 28th.
