Bandys and West Caldwell are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Trojans will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Bandys is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

West Lincoln hit Bandys with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rebels since on Wednesday.

Avery Alexander made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, West Caldwell finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bunker Hill. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Bandys and nudges their season record down to 14-8. As for West Caldwell, they moved to 20-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Bandys took their victory against West Caldwell in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
