Basketball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short on the Road Against Knightdale + How To Watch

Clayton had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Knightdale Knights, falling 78-55. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Brennen Jefferson had an outrageously good game for Knightdale as he went 9-for-17 en route to 27 points and three steals. Michael Roper was another key player, shooting 46% from the field on his way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Clayton will head out to challenge Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Knightdale, they will venture away from home to take on Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
