Football Recap: Northern Garrett Piles Up the Points Against Uniontown + How To Watch

The third road matchup was the charm for Northern Garrett, as they earned their first away win of the season. They claimed a resounding 38-0 victory over the Uniontown Red Raiders. The Huskies pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Raiders had little chance of recovering from.

Leading Northern Garrett to victory were Landon Yoder and Evan Graham. Yoder rushed for 132 yards and one TD on only eight carries, while Graham rushed for 67 yards and one score. Those 132 rushing yards gave Yoder a new career-high.

Another reason for the win was Northern Garrett's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Ansen Miller was especially locked on to Uniontown's QB and sacked him twice. Miller also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.

The win got Northern Garrett back to even at 3-3. As for Uniontown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Garrett will head out to square off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Miners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Uniontown, they will head out on the road to face off against Connellsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
