Softball Recap: East Lyme Takes a Loss

East Lyme was the 18-1 winner over Plainfield when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Panthers on Monday, falling 8-1. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

East Lyme saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Fineran, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

East Lyme's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Plainfield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, East Lyme will take on Killingly at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield has already played their next match (against Griswold), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
