Aurora West College Prep Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sheridan Rams. The loss leaves the Spartans without a win on the season.

Sheridan was led to victory by Gabriel Hernandez and Jason Medrano. Hernandez dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards, while Medrano almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tadeo Garcia, who posted three points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sheridan, they moved to 1-6 with that win, which also ended their 26-game losing streak.
